DREAM BIG, START SMALL!!

Hello friends! In this 21st century, we all are hungry! Yes you have got me right. We are hungry for success. We are hungry for love and compassion. We are hungry for life! In this world where things keep changing within a blink of an eye, we come across many instances and examples which keep motivating us throughout our journey. Especially movies play a very crucial role in our lives don’t they? One of the movies which enable you to dream big is my favorite film “guru”. I can so vividly recollect that dialogue delivered by Mr. Abhishek bacchan

bapu kehte the, Sapne mat dekho , sapne kabhi sach nahi hote.
Lekin meine sapna dekha… is company ko duniya ki sabse badi company banane ka sapna”.

In the film “GuruMr.Abhishek Bacchan  playing  the role of Gurukanth Desai  dreamt of becoming the world’s biggest owner of the company. He dreamt something big, something that no one could ever imagine. When we dream bigger, larger the obstacles we face. When he dreamt of being over the top, many people around him tried to pull him down the hill.
People who have no courage to accomplish their dreams certainly try to shatter the courage of others. When Gurukanth Desai believed in his dream people started to explain him some harsh facts of life. As the thought goes, “A person with big dream is more powerful than a one with all the facts”. Despite of the oppositions, failures, disappointments he emerged to lead ahead of all. This was only because of his belief in his dreams.

You might be thinking at the back of your mind that these success stories are good to appreciate in theatres or television but in real life they are next to impossible, because reel life and real life both are different. So now I will present an example before you that will compel you to believe that “everything is possible, even the “impossible” says that “I am possible”.

This is a story of two brothers. The elder brother lived in a place called Surat located in Gujarat. He lived a very mediocre lifestyle. He was striving hard to attain stability in his unbalanced life. Whereas his younger brother lived in their village while he was studying seventh grade. He was very hardworking, sincere in his studies. The elder brother recognized his spark, and brought him to Surat for further education. Least bothered about his financial condition, he always gave the best to his younger brother. Now the younger one was done with his matriculation with outstanding performance. The time has arrived to decide his career. Where every other student decided to opt for 11th and 12th grade, this 16 yr old village guy decided to get the admission in ITI (INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE). He had a long discussion with his brother regarding this course. His brother agreed to lend a helping hand in the process of admission to this course.

The little boy with hope in his heart and dream in his mind was all set for the race. He had got admission in a college which renders ITI students. He was all excited to look forward to an altogether new journey. Though it was a completely new experience of college life but his sincerity, dedication and devotion towards studies continued to shine throughout.

This simple guy who basically hails from a small village of Maharashtra turned out to rise as bright student of the college. He successfully cleared the finals and gave his best shot to it. He was a sheer example of “simple living, high thinking”. His elder brother was overwhelmed by his brother’s success.

An elder brother who tried hard to meet the two ends to fulfill the dream of his brother now sees him as a successful student. After completing college there is another big decision to be sorted out yet i.e. to do a job or to start your own business.

The younger as I said was a man blessed with high thinking. He dreamt bigger. He refused to do a job instead he wanted to start his own business. At this young age he dreamt something that was quite astonishing! Though he had the courage to dream big but he fumbled to speak it up to his elder brother.

It is rightly said,” the only person you can tell everything, right from hidden secrets to deep desires of your heart is your mother”. Fortunately he had his sister in law who was like his mother with whom he can share almost everything. He shared this with his sister in law who agreed with him. Sister in law insisted her husband to help him to start his business. The elder brother who loved his him like his own son. This time also he never backed up. He was ever ready to fulfill his brother’s dreams. He took an unemployment loan on the name of his brother to give him a kick start. He started with a small business with few resources like machinery. But he never let his heart down. He continued to move on in his life with the same dedication, devotion hard work and not to forget “the same dream in his mind – to start a huge business of his own”.

If you have read the any holy book anytime, you must read the below thoughts that has given to the people,

“God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without, sorrow
Sun without rain. But he did promise strength for the pain, comfort for the tears and light for the way”.

Little village boy faced many obstacles, oppositions and hurdles but he crossed all of them to see his business flourish. He had to face failures, he fell to the ground only to stand up high and give it a one more try.

Today this little village boy is no more an ordinary personality. He had come from an ordinary family to become an extraordinary businessman. Today he stands tall with his head held high as a proud owner of “Micro Engineers”.
To become a well known business man he started from a small industry. He never felt ashamed to start from the small. An immeasurable ocean is made up of small droplets isn’t it? Then why can’t a small step lead to a big success? Every character in this narration will help you inculcate some of the life skills.

It’s rightly said that, if you cannot give helping hand to others then please don’t create obstacles by de motivating them. In the above narrated situation, that younger brother may believe that how can I ask my brother, that I want to start business as our financial condition is not good. Obviously he might think of doing a job. Considering the financial condition, his elder brother could have denied to start a business and do a job instead. But he did not cut his wings which were full of hope and supported him. And they both teach us how to live a life. How your support can change the world.

I can share many stories, like Dhirubhai, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc., but a sense of doubt can pop up in our minds, it was possible to become a millionaire for Dhirubhai Ambani some 20 years ago but now if you follow his idea you will land up to nothing !. So, I share this story of a person who is living amongst us as a common man. And I am fortunate enough that I am seeing both of them since my childhood and learning a lot from them. Fortunately that small boy is none other than, one and only my uncle- Mr. Atmaram Revne owner of MICRO ENGINEERS , now he is providing bread and butter to not only a small crowd of employees but around 50 families whose family members are working there. And his brother is one and only my loving dad Mr. Maruti Revne. Currently he is enjoying his retirement with lots of social work. Really I thank almighty that he has given me birth in such a wonderful family.

Once again Lots of thanks to divinity for giving me such a life that’s worth living.
